Support the Formation of a Local Food Council (6.N.1.)

The Sustainability Advisory Board adopted and began a work plan for 2022-2023 that includes food system stakeholder and priority mapping to help build community partnerships and identify priorities in support of a robust local food system. The Sustainability Board provided input on an initial scope of work for the Food System Mapping project.
- The Sustainability Division started the Local Food System Preliminary Mapping Project. The project consists of 25 interviews with constituents from various facets of the local food system. The goals of the project are to deepen the City’s understanding of the current food system, cultivate partnerships, and inform the City’s next steps. The findings from the study will help inform decisions related to if, when, and how to develop a Local Food Council.
