Support Employee Trip Reduction Programs and Transportation Demand Management (4.J.5.)

Transportation Demand Management (TDM) focuses on reducing the number of vehicles traveling during peak times. To be successful at implementing TDM, the City of Bozeman will work with local partners on community outreach focused on safe multi-modal transportation and strategies local employers can adopt to reduce congestion and pollution during periods of peak travel demand.
- The Transportation Division initiated the Safe Routes to Schools program with the Walking School Bus and Bike Rodeo support and partnership with School District 7 and other community partners.
- The Department of Public Works expanded and funded the Transportation Demand Management (TDM) program and is developing a TDM strategic document while building community partnerships.
- The Transportation Division supported the GoGallatin platform to promote biking, walking, transit, and carpooling.
- The Economic Development Department and the Transportation Division initiated the Guaranteed Ride Home program as an incentive to encourage active modes of transportation for commuters.
The Transportation Division will continue outreach and engagement with the Guaranteed Ride home Program and the GoGallatin Platform.
Transportation Division continues to partner with WTI and community partners to execute active transportation challenges and incentive programs.
The Transportation Division will implement the goals and objectives of the Transportation Demand Management (TDM) work plan.
