The City of Bozeman will analyze its purchasing policy and develop a plan to integrate source reduction and green purchasing into its requirements. The City will also develop a plan for hosting Zero Waste events for City operations.
- The City took steps to reduce landfill waste at the annual employee picnic by working with vendors to provide compostable products at the event. There were recycling and composting stations with clear signage at the event.
- The Community Development Department transitioned to electronic plan review and the City Clerk moved to fully digital packet materials, dramatically reducing paper waste.
The Sustainability Division will develop an internal guide to hosting Zero Waste events for City operations.
