Building a community to support Electric Vehicle (EV) policy will be important to increase EV adoption rates and reduce direct vehicle emissions. Partners will focus on improving vehicle emissions standards, rates, and supporting alternative fuel vehicles.
- The Sustainability Division remained engaged in the public process to develop Montana's Electric Vehicle Deployment Plan under the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure funding to help ensure that Montana's EV plan successfully supports transportation electrification throughout the region and submitted testimony during the 2023 Legislative Session on EV taxation and fees.
- The Sustainability Division will monitor opportunities at the state, local, and utility-level related to grants, fees, taxes, and utility rates.
